A couple of weeks ago I dropped my gorgeous (and uninsured…) Nikon D700 just a few centimetres on to a stone floor.
The sound of breaking glass was not great. My heart missed a beat or two.
Thanks to the great people at Refot here in Belgrade, I was distinctly relieved (classic British understatement perhaps…) to hear that whilst I had trashed the filter on the lens, the glass and the camera itself had survived my lack of care.
Whilst there, I had a broken contact replaced on my old 28 mm f/2.8 Nikon lens. A lens that gets less than great reviews but it is light and compact and sometimes the discipline of a fixed focal length is good for the soul.
So, I set out to capture the final days of Summer in studentski trg.
I hope you like the results?

I LIKE THEM ALL! ! So SORRY to hear that you dropped the D700 what a shock to the heart!
Thank you! It was a tense moment, picking the camera up off the floor….
