Anyone who has followed my twitter feed will know that I am a big fan of “The Doors”.
I love this track “People are strange”, which, given that I have lived in many cities in which I have been, at least initially, a stranger, has resonance.
“People are strange when you’re a stranger
Faces look ugly when you’re alone
Women seem wicked when you’re unwanted
Streets are uneven when you’re down
When you’re strange faces come out of the rain
When you’re strange no one remembers your name
When you’re strange, when you’re strange
When you’re strange”
(Lyrics by The Doors: Robbie Kreiger; John Densmore; Jim Morrison; and Ray Manzarek)
Of course the reality is that people are not strange, and on belgradestreets when you are a stranger you are welcomed and embraced.
It is the people who make belgradestreets so special.
Here are a selection of people that caught my eye on belgradestreets this weekend…

People! Why I love Beograd so much! Why I will always go back to Beograd!
Thank you, the people here never cease to surprise and delight me…
