Zoo. Prison or preserve?
Our responsibility to protect wildlife? Our desire to control, classify, incarcerate?
Roaring, railing, roaming, ranging. Restrained by railings and ramparts?
Animals looking out, humans looking in? The reverse?
Need we do this? If not, would we suffer, would our knowledge of the world be diminished?
Animals. Are we any better?

I am not so happy with animals behind bars, but they have a mission too. And nice photos. Especially the owl!
Thank you. I wish there was another way.
aaaww owl 😀 I love them 😀
Thank you, he looked straight into my eyes as I took the shot 🙂
So sad to see they’re still using electrified lines to shock animals into their imposed borders (lion shot) 😦
The whole idea of zoos always make me feel a little uncomfortable….
