My knowledge of the Serbian language is poor.
For that, after two years, I apologise.
So, I may be making a logical blunder here in linking this street in the way I am.
I’ve not quite got my head around the need to change the tense of nouns.
Anyway.
Gavrilo Princip earned his place in history during a fatal encounter with an Austrian couple in the early years of the last century.
During his trial he apparently stated, “I am a Yugoslav nationalist, aiming for the unification of all Yugoslavs, and I do not care what form of state, but it must be free from Austria.”
Europe is not the place it was then.
This corner of Europe is not.
We all muddle along a little better.
Perhaps we all need to take hold of the hand held out to us?
Let go of our fears, our prejudices.
Do what we know is right.
And make our little corner of the world a better place?
What do you think?

Love your pictures! 🙂
Thank you, much appreciated! I see a lot of similarity with your images of Bucharest…
They are similar in many ways, it’s true!
I visited Belgrade in the ’90 and I would like to revisit it someday!
Meanwhile I enjoy your pictures …
thank you, i’d lve to visit bucharest some day
Thank you, I’d love to visit, and photograph your city some day.
Good idea!
It is said that the best time to visit Bucharest is in spring (April/May) so don’t forget this tip!
I think this is a strong series of images.
Thank you, it’s one of my own favourites so far, for quite a few reasons….so I really appreciate your comment! Andy

I think yes. I think this is essential for the future of the human race.
I think all the images are strong and they avoid trying to make anything look pretty. I think there is a bluntness which gives them power.
I just hope we have the courage to do so…one by one…
Thank you, I tread a fine line as an expat here. My images are a very personal take on what I are. So, your comments mean a lot to me. A
