For an expat in Belgrade, Christmas comes twice a year.
Today the Orthodox Church celebrated Christmas.
And soon, here, it will be New Year again.
Another time to make resolutions to live a better life, to treat those around us, all those we love, with more respect.
Resolutions at this time of year make fickle companions, often not surviving beyond the first week.
Maybe this year will be different?
We will see what we will see?
The answer lies in our own hands.
Let’s make 2013 different.
More soon from belgradestreets.
For now, I wish you and yours, whatever your faith, or whether you have none, the very best for 2013.

Happy New Year x 2! 🙂
Gosh, I don’t think I could cope with two Christmas celebrations….all that food twice over….have a great 2013 Andy
Thanks John, the Serbian Christmas is a less intense affair all round, more spiritual I think, but they do now how to eat and drink heartily! Look forward to sharing in 2013. Andy
Thank you, and a Happy New Year to you also!
I don’t think it is a true resolution if it disappears in a week’s time. It was only an idea.
Absolutely correct, takes courage and commitment to convert an idea into resolution…
nice blog!
Thank you!
